NRA Basic Rifle crs


NRA Basic Rifle course - Pre-requisite to be an NRA Rifle Instructor Details: This course is at least 8 hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot rifles. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest, prone, sitting, standing and kneeling positions; cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the “NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting� handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Rifle Shooting Student Examination, and receive a course completion certificate. Cost - $60 members, $80 sponsored guests

Turkey Shoot


Practice starts at 7pm and the shoot at 7:30. All Shoots are Stock (unmodified shotgun) Shoots What do you do? Shoot Shotguns You need to bring your own shotgun (12 gauge) + money We shoot @ 5 x 5 paper targets with A Bullseye center @ 20 yards Closest to the Bullseye wins The cost is $4.00 per shot with a side pot that costs $1.00 The profits from the turkey shoot goes to the parks' operating fund Prizes vary from slab bacon, hams, turkeys etc. What Are the Rules? STOCK SHOOT RULES Max 680 Choke We shoot @ 5 x 5 paper targets with A Bullseye center @ 25 yards Max 36 Inch Barrel Length Scopes permitted We will have a snack bar.
