NRA PPOTH Instructor course (Day 1)
The NRA Personal Protection Outside The Home (PPOTH) Instructor course is at least 16-hours long and teaches the knowledge, skills and attitude essential to organizing, promoting and teaching NRA’s Basic PPOTH course. Candidates must be a qualified NRA Pistol Instructor, be BIT current, and have successfully passed the PPOTH Basic course. Prior to the instructor training, candidates complete a pre-course questionnaire and demonstrate their firearm background in pre-course assessment exercises. Due to time constraints, BIT is not included. Students demonstrate organizational and teaching skills via participation in practical exercises during the course, and complete an instructor certification examination. Students will receive the NRA Trainer’s Guide and an NRA PPOTH Instructor Candidate Packet.

Turkey Shoot
Practice starts at 7:00pm and the shoot at 7:30.

What do you do?
Shoot Shotguns
You need to bring your own shotgun (12 gauge) + money
We shoot @ 5 x 5 paper targets with A Bullseye center @ 25 yards
Closest to the Bullseye wins
The cost is $5.00 per shot.
The profits from the turkey shoot goes to the parks' operating fund
Prizes vary from slab bacon, hams, turkeys etc.
